intex runs with modern software technology

intex is completely dialogue oriented, i.e. all entries are checked and recorded immediately. Back-dated bookings i.e. activate automatically a correction of the corresponding monthly settlement without any additional batch run.

A remarkable feature of intex is, that its strict transaction orientation of all program components ensures the consistency of the database in case of a system breakdown or and competing access. If required, intex can co-operate with other transaction monitors.

The basis of intex is a consistent, relational enterprise data model. In this data model the different aspects of a textile plant are displayed in a way which represents "the real relationship of the facts among each other", not like other programs which require data in the individual case. This concept guarantees a clear structure of the used data and the independency from programs and functions. The data recording is extensively redundancy-free and ensures that the data is always up to date, without requiring a high saving effort.

Based on this enterprise data model the user can analyze the complete database with own tools. intex offers the possibility to integrate reports, which were developed with database tools, into the user interface. They can be integrated into the user right administration and started on demand. Further every authorized user can access the database with any ODBC-compatible tool, e.g. MS Excel, Lotus 1-2-3 or MS Access. This way graphs, diagrams and recapitulatory reports can be generated, using saved data. The consistent data structure leads to a much higher transparency of the enterprise data. At the same time it leads in conjunction with the interacting process chain to a much higher discipline in the processing.
